Russian satellite news agency, Beijing, April 21 (Beijing, April 21) - Zhang Xi'an, vice president of China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, said in a speech at the interpretation meeting on Russia's compulsory electronic label policy jointly organized by Chinese and Russian enterprises, China's textile and clothing exports to Russia have increased by nearly six times from 2000 to 2020.

Zhang Xi'an pointed out in his speech that China's textile and clothing trade with Russia is mainly export-oriented (accounting for more than 99%). Russia ranks eighth in China's export target market. From 2000 to 2020, China's textile and clothing exports to Russia increased from US $1.11 billion to US $7.65 billion in 2020. In the past 20 years, China's textile and clothing exports to Russia have increased by nearly six times.

Zhang Xi'an stressed that the Russian Federation, as an important market along China's belt and road initiative, is a major channel for China to strengthen economic and trade ties with Europe, and is also one of the important national markets for cross-border development in the post epidemic era.

On April 19, the interpretation meeting of Russia's mandatory electronic label policy was held on the way of online live broadcast. The meeting aims to help Chinese light industry enterprises deeply understand the regulations and explore the changes in foreign trade business after the implementation of electronic labels and solutions.
